Where does astrology come from? Why is it based on the date of birth and not the date of conception? Why isn't it always accurate??

The date of conception could not be proved. The soul kicks off with the first breath of life. The astology factor is the day when the light first shines on us, the day of our birth. The Egyptians started following the aspects of the stars, but most astrologers today use the Greek system. I write horoscopes using both. My Egyptian horoscope is read daily in an Arab magazine, I tend to use the Greek method as it is traditional and what people expect in Europe and the USA.

Good point, bearing in mind that the soul is the person.

So its all pagan then, and from sources far removed from anything the Almighty would approve of?

I don't know who the almighty is, this is a spiritualist forum, and we are non denominational. Thus since astrology embraces the forces of a natural and ongoing process it cannot be rendered pagan. You seem to want to compartmentalise aspects and it is better that you know from the start that this practise is not the feature of this site. An open and loving approach is needed and the care and considerastion of others and their beliefs is all that matters to our members.
